What is Derby
The daily stock race. Nine lanes, one pot, one winner.
Nine stocks, one bell, every day of the year. Nine Robinhood Stock Tokens race from the bell (13:30 UTC) to the flag (20:00 UTC); the lane with the biggest percentage move wins. Pick a lane, put USDG on it, and if your stock finishes first, you share the pot.
The race is live all day. Lanes move with real prices, the Commentator calls the laps, and the photo finish settles on chain at the flag. Nothing to trust: the open and the close are Uniswap v3 time-weighted prices read by the contract itself.
The pools trade around the clock, so Derby runs when the stock market is shut too. Same nine lanes, same bell, same flag, 365 days a year.
Three things to know
- A bet is a lane, not a stock. You never hold the Stock Token.
- The pot is parimutuel: winners split the losing lanes' USDG pro-rata, minus a 2% House fee.
- Claim any time after the flag. There is no expiry.
